Aircraft Ownership Tax Strategy
Own a real aviation asset. Evaluate the economics first.
A private, owner-side approach to aircraft acquisition: independent selection and inspection, potential 100% bonus depreciation on the eligible basis for aircraft placed in service after January 19, 2025, and charter deployment with a certificated Part 135 operator.
This is an educational overview, not a securities offering. There are no offering terms, fees, minimum investment or projected returns, and it is not an E11evate Financial capital raise.
Why owners look at this strategy
A tangible, financeable asset
The aircraft must make sense on its own — records, maintenance position, charter demand and residual value are reviewed before any tax question.
Basis may include financing
Financed amounts may be included in cost basis, so a potential deduction is not limited merely to the down payment. Actual use of losses may be limited.
Charter may offset costs
Charter revenue through a certificated Part 135 operator may offset carrying costs, but may not cover debt service or expenses.
Illustrative example — not a minimum or a promise
- Aircraft acquisition
- $6,000,000
- Cash equity (30%)
- $1,800,000
- Financing (70%)
- $4,200,000
- Potential year-one depreciation*
- $6,000,000
*Assumes the full eligible business basis and every condition is met. A deduction is not the same as tax savings; basis, at-risk, passive-activity and other loss rules may limit its use, and personal use reduces the qualifying basis.
